Activities in Bad Kleinkirchheim

Ski areas:

Ski area Bad Kleinkirchheim – St. Oswald is a ski area for young and old. Between 1,100 and 2,055 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Southern Alps throughout the ski area. Nothing stands in the way of skiing fun for skiers and snowboarders on more than 100 km of slopes. The wide, expanses of pistes are particularly suitable for beginners and families due to their varying degrees of difficulty. Advanced skiers and professionals can enjoy the 8 kilometers of black ski slopes, including the famous World Cup run “Carinthia – Franz Klammer”. (Three gondolas take you to an altitude of 2,100 meters – Kaiserburgbahn, Brunnachbahn and Nockalmbahn).

In winter you can not only ski in Bad Kleinkirchheim and St. Oswald, the following ski areas are also in the (immediate) vicinity:

Bicycles:

750 km of cycle paths and mountain bike trails meander through the alpine world of the Nockberge. The well-signposted cycling tours lead you partly to the top and offer breathtaking views of the southern Alps.

Tobogganing:

Kaiserburg Bob – Kärntnen’s most modern Rollbobbahn – Kaiserburgbahn Bergstation

The Kaiserburg bob is 1.4 km long and has 26 curves.

Lifts Bad Kleinkirchheim in the summer:

Two gondolas take you to an altitude of 2,100 meters, to the biosphere park or the Kaiserburg. Let yourself be enchanted by a breathtaking landscape with flowering meadows and squeaky mountain marmots. These are in operation from May 12, 2021 to November 1, 2021

Almabtrieb:

When the cows (and sheep / goats) are brought back from the pastures to the valley at the end of the summer, this is celebrated in a traditional way. The Almabtrieb in Bad Kleinkirchheim takes place every year on the 2nd Saturday in September.
